Marty Isabell grew up in Bonner Springs, Kansas. His parents and grandparents were saved
when he was 5 years old. He was led to Christ at the age of 7 by his father, who was also his
Sunday school teacher. His father became a Pastor when he was 12, so he grew up immersed
in the word of God and the local church. This resulted in a love for God’s word and a desire to
know it better. Marty graduated from a Christian high school and then received a bachelor’s
degree in colonial American history from the University of Kansas. He also is a veteran of the
United States Navy. He has served as an Elder at Open Door Fellowship since 2019. Marty has
been married to Suzy since 1996, and they have 5 grown children: Drake, Evan, Luke, Katie,
and Jackson. They also have a daughter-in-law, Catherine, a son-in-law, Nathaniel, and two
grandsons, Timothy and Silas.
